Looking for a delicious and nutritious way to beat the summer heat? You will love these herbal popsicles infused with the health benefits and natural vibrant hues of butterfly pea tea and hibiscus.
Besides offering a refreshing and satisfying taste, these herbal popsicles infused with adaptogens have lots of wellness benefits.
Butterfly pea tea, derived from the vibrant blue petals of the Clitoria ternatea plant, has long been cherished for its natural beauty and medicinal properties.
This herbal infusion is rich in antioxidants and supports healthy skin and hair while also aiding in digestion and boosting the immune system.
It has relaxing properties and is a stress-relieving ingredient that balances the nervous system and hormones in this Ayurveda inspired moon milk.
The natural blue color of the butterfly pea tea adds a visually stunning appeal due to its beautiful color ranging from baby blue to deep blue.
When you mix it with an acid such as lemon juice, the color transforms to purple and then pink!
Equally beautiful, are the hibiscus petals with their deep crimson hue and a wealth of health benefits.
Hibiscus tea has been enjoyed for centuries for its tart and tangy flavor, as well as its potential to support cardiovascular health by maintaining healthy blood pressure levels.
With its high levels of vitamin C and antioxidants, hibiscus supports a healthy immune system and offers anti-inflammatory properties. Hibiscus helps lower blood pressure. Keep that in mind if you are taking blood pressure medication as it may affect it.
By combining these two herbal powerhouses in refreshing popsicles, you can indulge in a healthy treat that nourishes your body and mind.
They are free from artificial colors and flavors, and the natural sweetness can be easily customized to your liking with a bit of honey, maple syrup or your preferred sweetener.
Bij adding adaptogens you give them extra power by providing for example more relaxation, energy, focus or skin nourishment from the inside out.

In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
Add the dried butterfly pea flowers to the boiling water and reduce the heat to low.
Let the flowers simmer for about 10 minutes, allowing the water to turn a vibrant blue color. Add more flowers for a darker blue.
Mix in the adaptogens.
Remove the saucepan from heat and let the tea cool down to room temperature.
