Chia seeds have become very popular in recent years, but they have a long history. Indeed, they were already used by the indigenous tribes in Mexico such as the Aztecs and the Maya.
The seeds were one of the Aztecs' most important foods due to their rich nutritional value and medicinal properties.
In Maya, the name Chia means strength and the seeds were used to gain more energy and stamina.
Chia seeds are rich in calcium, manganese and phosphorus, antioxidants, omega 3 fatty acids, fiber and proteins.
Chocolate coconut chia pudding with adaptogens
Chia pudding with coconut milk, organic cocoa powder & amp; apple slices. Sweetened with date syrup and with a chocolate magic shell drizzle of organic cacao butter.
4 tablespoons chia seed
1/2 can coconut milk
2 teaspoons cacao powder
1/2 apple baked in the oven
date syrup or maple syrup
1 teaspoon I am energized blend
For the chocolate magic shell:
cacao butter or coconut oil
1 teaspoon cacao powder
Soak the chia seeds in the coconut milk the night before.
Add the cacao powder and stir well.
Add some date syrup or another natural sweetener such as maple syrup.
Slice the apple and add it.
For the chocolate magic shell: melt the cacao butter Au Bain Marie (warm water bath) (warm water bath) and add the cacao powder. Stir well to avoid lumps. You can also use virgin coconut oil instead of cacao butter.
Let the sauce cool off slightly to thicken a bit. When you pour it over something cold like the chia pudding, it will make a delicious crunchy magic shell.
